Trinity Sixth Form
Year 12 Trip to Peterhouse College, Cambridge
A group of ten Year 12 students visited Peterhouse College at the University of Cambridge as a part of the HE+ academic programme.
The students experienced short lectures in their chosen subject streams and had a tour of the college, which dates back to the 13th century, with a current student. There was an informal lunch when students could ask questions about the demands of studying at Cambridge and the day ended with a workshop about how to make a successful application.
Everyone had an enjoyable and informative visit.
Topics for the short lectures included:
- Curses! How to get your own back in the Ancient World
- Stories form the Skeleton
- What is a miracle?
- Chemical Biology
- Post Colonial approaches to English Literature
