Particle Physics Trip
Year 12 physics pupils went on a high energy particle physics trip to the world-class research centre at Rutherford Appleton laboratory in Didcot.
During the day the pupils analysed data from CERN, hunted (successfully!) for the Higgs Boson, went on a tour of the state-of-the-art particle accelerator and took in huge amounts of mind-boggling information in a series of lectures.
The day was excellent preparation for the particle physics aspects of the Year 13 course.
