Staff CPR Training
Mr Gayne delivered training on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to staff during the INSET on 12th July.
This life skill is taught on the continent in schools a lot more commonly than in the UK; if you were to require CPR in Europe, the success rate is 1 in 4, but in the UK it is 1 in 10. At Trinity, supported by the British Heart Foundation, we are trying to improve that statistic by training staff and students.
Mr Gayne will continue to train different groups of pupils in the near future. We have nearly completed a programme teaching all of Year 10 as well as PE groups and BTEC PE groups. We also hope to put on a session for parents who might be interested. Watch this space!
