The Trinity Handbook
Prevent - Protecting Children against Extremism and Radicalisation
Nationally there is an agenda to address the dangers of radicalisation and extremism in schools. At Trinity, we have a varied pastoral curriculum which considers a range of topics which support this agenda:
- Acceptance and Tolerance
- Rights and Responsibilities
In addition to the work undertaken in Form Time, the RE department considers aspects of our Faith that have an impact on this agenda too.
Trinity's established safeguarding practices are regularly updated and procedures are in place to address any concerns raised in relation to Prevent.
More information is available for Parents, Teachers and Governors from the DfE and Home Office (linked to this article).
