Pupil Support Systems 

We believe it is essential to support students in achieving to their potential and as such will put in place support mechanisms to address any barriers to learning, both academic and behavioural. These strategies may be used at any stage of a student's career at Trinity and in response to misconduct. They are more likely to be used if behaviour is repeated and in an attempt to prevent the development into further serious misconduct. Whilst some interventions appear on the surface to be punitive, it is always our intention to be merciful and offer a route back to a productive time in school. 

The support mechanisms Trinity can offer include: 

  • Achievement Card 
  • Conduct Report Card 
  • Meeting with parents/ guardian 
  • Individualised curriculums 
  • Alternative education programmes 
  • IEP (Individual Education Plan) 
  • PSP (Pastoral Support Programme) 
  • CAFs (Common Assessment Framework) 
  • Contract for good behaviour 
  • Counselling from Trinity's support team, Faith in Families or other agencies 
  • Links with other agencies such as the EWO, Attendance Liaison Officer, the Community Police Officer, School Nurse, Behaviour support team, etc. 
  • Consultation with the Education Psychologist 
  • EAL (English as an Additional Language) support 
  • Mentoring Elim House and Emmaus (Pupil Support Centres) 
  • Home Tuition 
  • Homework Club 
  • Extra-Curricular Clubs 
  • Peer Support (Circle of Friends) 
  • Restorative Justice 
  • Change Tutor Group 
  • Saturday Morning Detention
  • Isolation at a another Nottingham City School 
  • Planned move - Managed Move, Referral to Fair Access
