The Kite Runner
Over 65 Trinity GCSE Drama students visited Nottingham Playhouse to see The Kite Runner in September.
Giles Croft, artistic director, brought Khaled Hosseini’s best-selling 2003 novel to the stage once again, and the story captivated our students and the audience, taking them from Afghanistan to America and back again. It encompassed the relative tranquility and prosperity of Kabul in the mid-1970s, the traumas of the Soviet invasion of 1979, the upheavals of emigration to the United States and the fundamentalist darkness of the Taliban.
